About
Audrey Laboz, LMSW, is a multidisciplinary artist and social worker trained and certified in art, creative, and play-informed approaches to therapy. Art has always been the center of how Audrey sees and connects with the world. She works across multiple mediums, including drawing, sculpture, watercolor and ink, digital art, photography, video art, tufting, and various other mixed-media approaches. For her, art is a physical way to express emotion, story, and meaning, the same instinct that eventually led her into social work.
Audrey earned her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University, where she gained clinical experience working with children and families in both hospital and school settings. She also holds a B.S. in Media, Culture, and Communication from NYU, where she studied how social and cultural environments shape identity, health, and the ways people express meaning through art and media.
Her background in the creative arts and clinical work shapes how she understands people, connection, and creativity. She believes creativity and play are natural languages that help make sense of what words often can’t, especially for children. Whether in an art studio or a therapy room, her work centers on creating space for expression, imagination, and healing.
